Self-acceptance is the work of life, says Sebastien, who has been transforming himself into Corrine for 22 years as a performance artist, and self-dubbed clown. After being mesmerized by the circus as a gay kid in a conservative family and rural town, he found that life can be magic if you want it to by making a career out of being the alter-ego of his dreams, in Paris. “A clown is a character that you can have all of your life. When I am Corrine, I can do all that I want,” says Sebastien. Corrine is the edge to Sebastien’s gentle man, the latter of whom often cries while removing his inner femme fatale after a show from the sheer joy of living life in all of its expressions.
