Somewhere off Interstate 64E at the end of a mile-long driveway sits a Jeffersonian mansion, littered with art from some of the world’s most renowned artists. Estouteville Farm, as it’s known, is a hilltop estate located just outside Charlottesville North Carolina, where century-old trees painted sky blue, canary yellow, and fire engine red live among a handful of dogs, several cats, goats, ducks, a collection of peacocks and, perhaps most extraordinarily, Beatrix Ost and Ludwig Kuttner. Beatrix once said that she and Ludwig find the most inspiration in the warmth of people.
