Cathryn Collins

The most inspiring thing on the planet, when it comes to style, is confidence in your choices and an unwavering commitment to what you look and feel great in, no matter the amount of temptation that surrounds you to deviate from what’s inherently you. Cathryn’s mantra when it comes to clothes is: “I’m always much more dressed up when I’m not dressed up than most people and I’m always much less dressed up than most people when I am dressed up.” Her singular attitude is what makes her so compelling in her style. Some examples of what she calls her “battle life uniform” are her Tom Ford cinched military blazer, her Western leather and silver cuff and her lush Rajasthani earrings. For our fourth and final installment of our collaboration with Shop L-ATITUDE (you can shop looks similar to Cathryn’s on their site), Cathryn explains how she moved to Italy at 16 where she was exposed to the European sartorial motto, “La Bella Figura,” which, as she explains, is about presenting yourself in a thoughtful and precise way without pretension, or simply just caring to express yourself. Cathryn brings an expansiveness to everything she does, whether it’s designing for her line I Pezzi Dipinti or traveling as much as she is home in NYC. She learned early on from traversing the world incessantly with her parents, places aren’t remote once they are part of you.
