Always in a dress, Sabrina may look girly, but she has a very educated and sophisticated taste for clothes, and I love how she is okay with looking like she cares. Her biggest role models are glamourous: her mom, whom she vividly remembers watching getting dressed as a child, Audrey Hepburn, especially in the movie of her own namesake (“I like to pretend it’s about me sometimes”), and the iconic Edith Head,, “not only as a costume designer but for her own strong personal style” (I am super impressed that she knows who Edith Head is). Sabrina’s clothes are literally of her dreams and memories, like the leopard coat that her mother gave her after years of coveting it, the beaded robe she wears out at night and enthusiastically fantasizes was the dressing gown of a turn-of-the-twentieth-century Russian lady, and the coat she still has from when she was six (it is still amazing on her). One of her pastimes is eBay (not tv) and so into the archetypes is she that by searching for all things lace, she ended up with the white Victorian dress that she cut and wears with her signature black thick tights. Sabrina’s attachment to clothes is so soulful that she is habitually two hours late due to getting it just right. And I would imagine she does so all with her favorite movie scene in mind, when “Audrey Hepburn shows up to this party in this breathtaking white gown, and everyones’ jaws drop, and they all freeze because of how beautiful she looks in this gown. I love it.”

I didn’t know anything about vintage until I met Sabrina. She is a beacon of fashion in my life; I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t see her everyday walking down the street looking shabby chic.
raul is so creepy
Beautiful! The way she wears vintage is so refreshing and modern
She has amazing style. That beaded silk robe almost brought me to tears. KILLAH!!!
Wonderful unique style! Love her.
Sabrina is so beautiful and gracious….but her blurb has a strange comment-Ebay (not TV)…
Well, is consumerism a better habit than watching tv?
I found this judgmental comment by the author strange to say the least and not representative of the subject.
(And before you go judging, no-I am not a TV lover)
Great looks but I’m puzzled as to why her obvious self-involvement is being romanticized as a commitment to her look. “Sabrina’s attachment to clothes is so soulful that she is habitually two hours late due to getting it just right”. Really? Soulful? People who are unapologetically two hours late are selfish and inconsiderate. It’s that simple.
wow…try lightening up. this site is about romanticism, passion, indivduality and having fun…very soulful stuff! Sabrina’s friends probably love her enough for all that she is.
Agreed, Lighten up Sadie- You end your rant of negativity with, “before you go judging” how about before YOU GO JUDGING. Cleo, try understanding a culture barrier. Punctuality is not stressed in the Dominican Republic and other Latin countries as it is here in the States. If you think you can figure someone out by a non-self edited fashion interview then you have a lot to learn about the human race and life. Stay positive Sabrina do not let haters put you down- just let them keep sippin on that hater-aide. You look and seem just as fabulous!
Claudia, I did not submit a rant of negativity, nor did I judge Sabrina. AS STATED I found Sabrina to be a lovely, gracious subject. However I find it inapproapriate that the aurtor puts in her own snap judgements.
I find it quite hysterical that you accused me of being being negative-have you read over your own post? You seem to sipping on your own “hater-aide”…..
Oh God,it’s handbags at dawn on here again…X
