I really appreciate Miranda’s family tradition of passing down the ring to every woman at her high school graduation. My family has a similar tradition: the oldest girl in the family inherits a ring on her 16th birthday. Just after my mother’s 16th birthday the ring was stolen from her, along with all of the other jewelry that was in our family for generations. So on my 16th birthday my mom got me a ring so I can begin the tradition again. (Also, I actually want EVERYTHING in Miranda’s closet.)
