Kukso is our first in a series of four people that Jeffrey Williams shot for us in Milan. I love Kukso’s passion for the power of the timeless designs of indigenous cultures . To me, iconic cultural references are undeniable truths in fashion and always provide a stamp of individuality, like the simple beauty of line and volume of the kimono and the eternal majesty of the primary colors (“strong pure energy”) in Maasai beaded jewelry. Kukso told Jeffrey that his grandmother’s traditional Korean costumes were a huge inspiration for him. “Pure beauty” is what Kukso is after, and the affect of how he likes to “mix cultures in one pot” – the combination of his ripped jeans, classic tuxedo shoes, ethnic jewelry, and long black hair together is a visual feast.
What I get from Kukso is that it’s ok to be spiritual and on the path to self-actualization while wearing Gucci sandals.
I usually adore these videos, the are always incredibly inspiring but seriously, this one suck! One horrible outfit and the lack of english, enviroment and versitility decreased the liability in this site. I hope you can keep up your normally good work and continue increasing the level of inspiration here.
Don’t watch the video, look at the pictures.
this is someone who mic jagger would be inspired by, you can glean his essence from the video and then the pictures tell the full story.
thank you Tay, exactly.

OH.
MY.
GOD.
this human being makes me so happy. I am in LOVE withe maasai cuff with everything. it is amaziing. and why does anyone care about his english? he says the most beautiful things that are so inspiring. and Linn, did you see all of the pics and the outfits? THEY’RE GORGEOUS! Also, it clearly says in the writing that someone in italy did this shoot, so don’t worry about the lack of outfit changes in the video. i think its so cool that stylelikeu is getting subjects from all over the world!! xx loveee
He is a korean living in italy i think i is a little much to expect him to speak fluent english. He is clearly an inspiring individual. While his videos show his eclectic style, there is definitely a lot to be learned from his video.
Stunningly beautiful and cool man. I think the Mick Jagger energy reference is spot-on, but it’s inverted. Jagger wanted to be devilish and shamanic but was goofy, while Kukso is denying the simplistic pull of directionalism in favor of oneness and fluidity.
Kukso you’re a major gem needed in this world. With your pure openness other’s are welcomed and encouraged to express themselves. Thank you for sharing your unique wardrobe and kind energy. Keep being the wonderful you* and keep inspiring. Your truly a magnificent being.
Kulso is such an inspiration… What a truly authentic person and spirit. His ability to pull inspiration from such rich and vibrant cultures and create such symphony through fashion is absolutely genius.
I really loved this video.
p.s. Elisa, in my opinion it’s okay to have a site with 100% positive comments… It is also my opinion that this is why so many people stopped visitng several other popular fashion blogs as they turned into places for people to spew their negativity. Please don’t let this happen to Style Like U… “I don’t think any of us would object to having an approval by moderator function…”
Hahaha please tell me those are giant weed plants behind him in the video.
A+++++
CIAO! HI!!!
SPECIAL THANKS TO ‘JEFFREY WILLIAMS’ AND EVERYBODY!!!
I’M SO SORRY ABOUT MY ‘BAD ENGLISH’…..CAN U IMAGINE HOW MUCH I WAS SHOCKED WATCHING MY VIDEO???HAHAHAHA………
PLEASE KINDLY FEEL MY INTENTION THAN HEAR MY ENGLISH!!!
THANKS & BEST REGARDS
LET’S MAKE LIFE BEAUTIFUL & WORTHY TO LIVE!!!
KUKSO KOO
No #11, I don’t want an approval by moderator function because life is not all about 100% positive comments! It’s really fucking annoying when you read someone like The Sartorialist and everyone is gushing and kissing ass. We can’t all be shot on the cobblestone streets in Milan with perfect lighting. That is not REAL.
I don’t believe this site is going to turn into a place where people spew negativity. They will sort themselves out before that happens.
Just found your site and love it! I’ll definitely be coming back. I did feel Kukso’s intention and passion toward fashion. I also love the kimono he’s wearing!
Dear Kukso,
I loved your video, because it represents you very well (your shyness too, i guess).kisses,
patrizia
