Carly Mark
Carly is one of the truest examples of how understated comfort can be the epitome of style. She likes to be quiet and calm in her clothes as an antidote to the prolific and untamed work of her paintings. Her sense of proportion and how she cuts her clothes to create balance and detail is fascinating, and I think totally right on. I love her conviction within herself…the dressiest that she ever gets is her coveted black suede fringe skirt and riding boots. There are no boundaries between her art, style and life. She paints in her most coveted pieces of clothing and in whatever she feels like wearing, making her signature free spirit style that much more defined.
Carly’s favorite stores are Obscura, The Upper Rust, Evolution, ABC Home and Carpet, Rag and Bone, La Sirena, Kiosk, The Salvation Army, and Shoerama.

also, must all your girl posts feature EXTREMELY skinny girls? i’m not expecting a plus-size addition, but average people have good style too

I completely disagree with ella, yes, carly is skinny but her size has nothing to do with her personal style. After watching all the videos, i have realized this site shows a very diverse group of people and that is inspirational

She has an interesting take on perspectives. I really enjoy cutting shirts up into crop tops to wear with high waisted skirts. It was interesting to see her take on that look.
