I had just turned 50 and was feeling a little blue about my fading youth. Then I happened upon such a joyous photograph of Beatrix, the one where she’s wearing her emerald green turban with the beautiful matching corsage, smiling her wonderful smile, and I knew I had to find out more about her. I closely examined every picture I could find, watched the lovely video on this website, read an excerpt from My Father’s House (can’t wait to read the whole book), and now I can say without exaggeration that Beatrix has not only helped me come to terms with my age, but I’m actually looking forward to the next decennia! I’d love to thank her, she’s more than just an inspiration, she’s changed my whole life. And I think it’s so cool that she’s a Buddhist! And has the wisdom to understand and forgive those closest to her, not something everyone is capable of. Her life seems enchanted to me. Am I gushing?? Sorry! But what a classy lady.

I just came out of MADD museum, I was looking at the pgm. when I got home and saw that a class by Ari Seth Cohen had just taken place…so I looked him up on his Blog and saw his association with Beatrix…the funny thing is I had just seen Beatrix in the Subway about a week ago and was taken by her captivating style and stature. I knew she had to be a style Icon. I completely respect and honor the thought and time it takes to walk in the world as ART, because I come from that same space.

I love this blog! it keeps me going! each day, i make my coffee and run to the computer to see someone new. i think you make such an impact on your readers/viewers that is quite profound. i’m sure i am not the only one who looks at a certain post and feels as if they have found another member of their tribe!!
